Media Monitoring: Why Should You Care About What Others Think of You?

Media Monitoring Service

Getting the right feedback from the right people can be of vital importance for developing your business in the right direction. A few decades ago, you would have had to count on rare occasional personal experiences and surveys that could have easily lacked reliability and authenticity. Today, you can track conversations about your brand, mentions and complaints in real-time with little effort, especially if you decide to use some of the many media monitoring tools at hand.

Why is media monitoring important?

You can do some primitive sort of media monitoring manually, by using search engines and some default tools provided by social media, but this is not a very comprehensive nor time-saving way to find out what people are saying about you online. Instead, using a reputable media monitoring tool makes your life much easier because most of them basically do all the footwork for you and digest all the data collected over social media, and media in general, into a few coherent and intelligible pieces of information.

As it was mentioned, getting feedback can be crucial for business development – having an unbiased opinion on what’s wrong or at least what’s perceived to be wrong with your product is obviously the first step to improving it. Furthermore, you can check if you have been mentioned by influential people, either in a positive or in a negative context, and use it to your advantage. It’s also essential to check where all these conversations are happening – knowing where your customers “hang out” is useful information if you want to improve targeting for your upcoming digital marketing campaign.

Media Monitoring

Which Tools Should I Use?

There’s a large number of media monitoring tools out there and the list just keeps growing. If you’re planning to keep an eye on what people are saying, then this is generally good for you because it means that you can find the tool that suits all your needs.

For instance, Google Alerts is a very common choice and works in a very basic and intuitive way. You simply choose a few keywords that are in some way vital for your business – the name of your brand, your product, your competition or even your industry in general, and you’ll get an email when there’s new content containing some of the terms.

Hootsuite is also a popular choice, and it is also based on searching for desired keywords and notifying you if anything new is found across different networks. It goes beyond just monitoring – you can use it to check your outreach and measure results of your campaigns or schedule posts.

Some tools like Social Mention focus not just on the number of mentions, but also the sentiment and passion related to them. Sentiment represents the ratio of positive and negative mentions, while passion is the metric that measures how often people are inclined to repeat the keyword you’re interested in.

With other tools, like Mediaportal by Isentia, you can customize the manner in which you wish to be alerted – whether by a text message, email, RSS feed or smartphone notification. Isentia offers not just monitoring a huge number of standard online media, but also thousands of print sources and broadcast programs, as well as daily briefings that summarize all the relevant info for you every morning.

Engagement

Once you have all the important info, you can also get involved in the ongoing conversations wherever you see fit. In general, when you do this you should be helpful and respectful. Never lose your temper and have in mind that, ultimately, there’s no such thing as bad critics – if the critics are wrong, it will be easy to prove it, and if they’re right, you’ll have a chance to show that you’re supportive, knowledgeable, and willing to solve the problem. Having the right attitude towards your customers builds your brand’s reputation and the online community around it.

All in all, tracking what people think and say about you, as well as communicating with them afterwards, is very valuable for your business. You have the opportunity to continuously listen to the most unprejudiced possible feedback in real-time, so use all the tools at your disposal and make the most of them.

How To Sell Solo Ads- 10 Steps To Get Started Selling Solo Ads

Sell Solo Ads

(Important Note: If you are truly serious and motivated about building a sustainable solo ad business, please email me with the subject line “How To Sell Solo Ads” to evan.hoeflich@evanhoeflichmarketing.com…I would like to connect you with my mentor/coach who helped me create a full-time income doing this).

Let me be transparent and let you know that an investment will be required to access the coaching/mentor program, but it is hands down one of the best decisions you can make if you are at all serious about building an online business from scratch (there are also different payment options available so anyone can join)…This has really created substantial opportunity in my own life and is definitely worth emailing me for more information so we can get you started).

Explaining how to sell solo ads through a blog post is very difficult since there are many different variables that go into being a quality solo ad vendor.

However, I’d like to give you some insight as well as a few concrete steps you’ll need to get started. How To Sell Solo AdsLet me start off by saying, that selling solo ads is an extremely lucrative business model.

I blog about some of my results in terms of solo ad income and how once your funnel is set up, making money is very streamlined.

Being a solo ad vendor has created so many benefits in my life:

  • It has provided me an extra and consistent stream of income.
  • It has allowed me to save/invest more money each month.
  • It has provided more financial security in my day to day life.
  • I have more flexibility with my schedule if I need it (although I tend to be a workaholic regardless)
  • It has allowed me to branch out and pursue other business models.
  • I’ve created wonderful relationships with other successful entrepreneurs.
  • It’s taught me a lot about the process of running an online business.

Those are just to name a few.

Again, if you are really serious about starting a solo ad business for yourself, please read the first two paragraphs of this blog post.

Now let me give you a few helpful steps to get started with selling solo ads.

How To Sell Solo Ads- 10 Steps To Get Started

1.) Sign Up for Web Hosting: You will need to sign up for web hosting in order to host your solo ad website, squeeze pages, landing pages etc. You can sign up for web hosting here, for only $3.95 per month (at the time of writing this). As a solo ad seller, you will be creating different pages, testing various layouts etc. so it’s important that you have a reliable hosting provider like the one in the link above (HostGator).

2.) Sign Up For Aweber Email Autoresponder: In order to be an email advertiser and generate solo ad traffic, your must have an email autoresponder. The only autoresponder I recommend is Aweber, and you can sign up here for a free 30 day trial. Aweber is the most reputable AR online today and will be able to handle the growth of your email list as well as provide great delivery results.

3.) Create A Squeeze Page: In order to capture email addresses and start building your email list, you must create an enticing squeeze page. There a various tools to create squeeze pages like ClickFunnels for example, or you can create one from scratch using HTML. Here’s an example of a squeeze page that converts at 35% or higher: Squeeze Page Example. Make sure this is linked up correctly to your Aweber account.

4.) Sign Up For ClickMagick to Track Orders: In order to track your solo ad orders and provide your clients with detailed reports, you will need to sign up for ClickMagick here. Clickmagick will also be used to buy solo ads as well since it gives you detailed statistics on the traffic you buy yourself (opt-in rate, tier 1 %, device used, unique clicks etc.).

5.) Create A Custom Thank You Page: This is one of many strategies to produce extra clicks and increase your ROI when selling solo ads. After someone opts-in to your squeeze page, you’ll want to redirect them to a custom thank you page. On this thank you page, you can have 4 or more links that would ultimately be directed to your client’s link/order. Make sure you have a strong headline for example, “Here Are 4 Simple Ways Below To Create More Freedom In Your Life Through The Internet” and also make sure you link to your client orders (under the headline) using engaging anchor text like “Brand New Method To Building A Profitable Email List” etc. (These are just quick examples, this will need to be tested and tweaked). Don’t worry, this sounds confusing to start but it’s not bad once everything is set up (I recommend emailing me first before getting started so I can guide you in the right direction). Here’s how the Thank You Page approach would work: Buy Traffic ==> Squeeze Page ==> Thank You Page with client’s links to produce clicks ==> Send email broadcasts from AR for extra clicks

6.) Alternate Methods instead of Thank You Page (or in addition to it): The great thing about selling solo ads is that there is more than one strategy you can use. See below for three alternate methods to the Thank You Page approach above. Remember this is after someone opts-in to your squeeze page:

  • Method #1: Direct traffic to a sales page of your own (a personal product you create)…Or direct traffic to an affiliate offer. Although you lose out on producing extra clicks right away like you would with the Thank You Page, this method allows you to potentially recoup some of your traffic cost right away.  Some people are able to build their list for free using this tactic. Buy Traffic ==> Squeeze Page ==> Sales Page/Affiliate offer to recoup upfront ad costs ==> Send email broadcasts from AR to fulfill client orders
  • Method #2: Direct traffic to your client’s order immediately after they opt-in to your squeeze page.  This way every time someone opts-in to your own list, you are guaranteed a unique click on your client’s order as well. It would look like this: Buy Traffic ==> Squeeze Page ==> Client’s Order for guaranteed unique clicks ==> Send email broadcasts from AR for extra clicks
  • Method #3: The “Double Tab” strategy is a very powerful method that can’t be explained fully through this blog post (it uses a special script). Basically after someone opts-in to your squeeze page, two browser tabs would then open up. The first tab would be one of your client’s orders and the second would be your custom thank you page.  This guarantees a unique click every time someones opts-in to your squeeze page and also gives you potential to generate additional clicks from the other browser tab which would be your custom thank you page (this is good for running multiple solo ad orders at once). It would look like this: Buy Traffic ==> Squeeze Page ==> 1st Tab– Client’s Order for guaranteed unique clicks ==> 2nd Tab– Thank You Page with client links to produce additional clicks ==> Send email broadcasts from AR for extra clicks

7.) Find Clients and Generate Sales: Once your funnel is set up, you are ready to find clients. A quick way to do this is to acquire some testimonials in order to build your following. Reach out to other solo ad sellers who need traffic and offer them a really good deal in exchange for a written testimonial on one of the major solo ad groups like this one. You’d be surprised how many people are willing to help out here. These testimonials get viewed by thousands of solo ad buyers, and can be an excellent way to build new as well as repeat business. There are about 100 other ways to build your client base as nearly everyone in this niche needs traffic, so be creative and don’t limit yourself. This one strategy is just a quick way to get stated.

8.) Feed the Machine By Buying Traffic: When you have your first solo ad orders lined up, you are now ready to buy some traffic to test out your funnel and fulfill your orders. I recommend starting with buying solo ads to start, which will help complete your orders. See the examples laid out above in orange on how the traffic will flow through your sales funnel. The traffic buying process is a good time to test different squeeze pages, thank you pages, funnel types etc. See how the traffic responds to your headlines, layout, colors, call-to-actions and so on. Once you get more comfortable and master buying solo ads, you can branch out and try other traffic sources as well.

9.) Send Email Broadcasts To Fulfill Orders: Although your funnel will already be producing many clicks already, email broadcasts will give you additional fire power and really help you increase your profits. These should be sent twice daily (once to your entire list and then again 12 hours later to the un-openers), and should contain your client’s link (if you have multiple client orders, you will want to set up an orders rotator in ClickMagick). Keep your emails short and to the point and do not use spammy language for the best chance of your emails landing in the primary inbox section. Many tricks and techniques to this step, please just email me.

10.) Rinse, Repeat and Scale Up: Once your funnel is really pumping out results for both you and your client’s, you can then scale this baby up and really kick it up a notch. This is when your client base is growing, referral traffic is increasing and your name is getting placed in various groups on Facebook/websites for being a quality seller. Basically your reputation is growing and you’re becoming an authority solo ad seller. You should now be able to afford to invest in additional advertising for your solo ad business, or use free tactics like SEO to gain even more traction.

I strongly urge you to reach out to me via email, if you would like to build a sustainable solo ad business that can serve you for years to come.

It’s not the easiest thing to explain over a blog post, however I wanted to give you some steps to familiarize yourself with the process.

For additional ninja tricks and incredible ways to optimize your sales funnel for maximum results, please send me an email to: evan.hoeflich@evanhoeflichmarketing.com so I can connect you with my mentor/coach.

From there, if you’d like to invest in the coaching program, you will receive step-by-step videos and instructions on how to build an incredible business around solo ads.

You will also be placed in a private Facebook community where we all share wins, tips, tricks, successes and more.

I hope you enjoyed this post and more importantly I hope it has opened up your mind to the power of selling solo ads!

How Online Surveys Can Help Your Business

How Online Surveys Help Your Business

Surveys have been used by marketers for a long time, as a de facto research tool for fast-moving businesses. Today, there are online variations that make the whole process much easier – surveys used to require too much time and money, but are now quick, cheap and do-it-yourself online. By using them routinely, you can gain crucial information about the kinds of services, products and improvements your customers might be willing to pay for, but also demonstrate that you value their opinions by giving them a voice.

The online survey industry is growing, being estimated at $2.4 billion worth of business in 2011, and that’s just in the U.S. Conducting an online survey is so easy nowadays that it’s almost a crime not to do it and especially when you see the advantages laid out in this article.

Advantages of Online Surveys

Cheaper

By using online questionnaires, you don’t have to allocate resources and time to enter data into a database and you will save money on postage. All of this reduces your costs. The answers are processed automatically and you can access the results at any time.

Faster

When compared to traditional research methods, the time needed to complete an online survey is about two-thirds shorter because you don’t need to wait for the questionnaires to be sent back to you. The information is being gathered automatically and the response time is almost instant.

Quick to analyze and more accurate

The results can be viewed in real-time and are ready to be analyzed at any time. This allows you to react quickly, export data for further analysis, create graphs for reporting, and share your results. Another great thing is that the margin of error is quite reduced with online services. While traditional methods rely on their staff’s attentiveness (entering all details correctly), online surveying excludes the factor of human error.

Easy to use for both researchers and participants

Researchers benefit from online surveys with increased productivity. Online surveying saves them time as the data is available in almost real-time and can be run through statistical software for detailed analysis. On the other hand, people on the Internet prefer online over telephone surveys, because they can choose when to do them. Paid surveys online are an effective way to engage customers and hear their opinion. Financial stimulation will more likely make them take a few minutes to answer your questions.

More selective, honest and flexible

Online surveys allow you to target and reach only those participants who match your “perfect customer” profile with relevant questions that apply to them. When filling in an online questionnaire, people tend to provide longer, more detailed and honest answers than when answering a telephone survey. Also, you can change the order of the questions in your questionnaire or skip them (depending on the answer to a previous question), tailoring your survey to each participant as they proceed.

Benefits of Online Surveys

Ways to Survey Your Customers

Customer follow-up

Sending a detailed survey immediately after a sale can provide revealing information about how well your products/services suit and satisfy your customers’ needs. It will also show that you’re grateful for your relationship and that you’re dedicated to making improvements.

Market analysis

Finding out what your industry market prefers is one of the most obvious reasons for sending out a survey. You can greatly improve your future plans thanks to the valuable information you’d get by asking your target audience about the choices they make when interacting with services or products similar to yours.

Customer demographics

Creating strong relationships with customers improves brand loyalty, so it’s natural that you want to deepen your relationship with them. One way to do it is to create a survey that asks them about themselves: their lives, challenges, problems and preferences. Process and use the data for product/service development.

Tracking performance

You can keep your business operations in order by using short surveys to ask for customer feedback. Ask them about their experience with you and use that information as a guidepost to ensuring that you and your staff members are doing well.

Online surveys are a quick, cheap, reliable, and accurate way of gathering and processing the information you need in order to improve your business. It is critical to the development of any company to ask for feedback and act on it as soon as possible. The whole online surveying process is automatized and, with the right tools and software, easy to use for both the participant and the researcher.

8 Habits of Successful Millionaires

Habits of Millionaires

Everyone wants to be a millionaire but not all are lucky enough to inherit wealth or win the lottery to become one. Believe it or not, more than eighty percent of millionaires are self-made, according to the renowned millionaire researcher, Thomas J. Stanley. All these wealthy people have certain common habits that have assisted them to come all this way.

“Your habits are the reason why you’re rich or poor,” writes Tom Corley in his book Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals. This is because our daily habits both shape and dictate if we’re going to be successful or unsuccessful in life. And the good news is that habits can always be adjusted or changed.

Here are eight rich habits of successful millionaires that you can start implementing as soon as today:

1.) Get Enough Sleep:

Early to bed, early rise, actually makes a man/woman healthy, wealthy and wise. Successful people do not binge on Netflix all night. They ensure to get adequate sleep for a more productive, active and definitely more pleasant day ahead.  People who sleep well tend to have more creative minds than those who are sleep deprived, hence are more likely to succeed.

To make sure you can fall asleep at a reasonable time, get to bed earlier; make your bedroom sleep friendly and environment comfortable enough for sleeping; fix the temperature; cut out any caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes before sleeping and take your evening bath maybe an hour earlier than normal.

2.) Wake up on time

Most millionaires hit their alarm clock as early as six AM. In Corley’s study, about fifty percent of the millionaires woke up about three hours prior to when their actual work day began. Waking up early gives you the confidence of having your life under control.

It is actually a great strategy to deal with unexpected and inescapable daily disruptions such as long meetings, being stuck in traffic or having to pick up your sick child from school. These disruptions make one believe that they don’t have control over their life. But getting up early in the morning to plan/tackle our top priorities that we want to accomplish in the day, helps us direct our life.

3.) Exercise

It is as simple as this: Exercise is not just good for the body but also for the brain. And a healthier brain means a smarter you.  “Seventy-six percent of wealthy people exercise at least thirty minutes every day. The exercises may include anything cardio such as walking, running, jogging, biking or even dancing. etc.” says Corley.

Having a consistent exercise routine calls for commitment, endurance, time and energy, which are quite the same characteristics required to achieve your seven-figure financial goals.

4.) Read books

Millionaires are readers and not the kind of reading which involves entertainment like on Facebook or Twitter but biographies of successful people, personal development, history books etc. The rich would prefer to be educated over entertained. As Corley puts it, “Millionaires spend thirty minutes or more each day to self-educate.” According to his study, about eighty-five percent of the world’s millionaires read two or more books a month. This habit automatically sets you apart from the competition as most people do not read.

5.) Have a Mentor

One common thing in almost all millionaires is that they all had someone strategically mentoring them and teaching them successful habits. In Corley’s study, ninety-three percent of self-made millionaires associate their wealth with having mentors. Finding a true mentor can actually put you on the fast track to success.

6.) Create ‘To-do lists’

Prioritizing goals and tasks and listing them down into smaller action steps is always a winner. Creating to-do lists is a well-known trait of successful and rich people as it prevents you from getting sidetracked. As stated in Corley’s study, “eighty-one percent of the millionaires, who do plan their day, maintain a daily to-do list. Less than one percent of the poor use a daily to-do list.” The key is to consistently cross off tasks at the top and add new ones at the bottom and secondly keep it at the forefront in order to stay focused. Make your to-do list and paste it somewhere you can easily see all the time. You can even put in on the background of your computer or mobile phone as there is no getting away from technology, hence your list.

7.) Have multiple streams of income

Millionaires don’t have a single source of earning. “Millionaires develop multiple streams…sixty-five percent had at least three streams of income that they created prior to making their first million dollars.” Corley writes. E.g. they would invest in a side business, buy shares in a company or save up and invest in real estate.”

8.) Network

Wealthy people do not thrive in isolation. Millionaires are social beings. They have the habit to go out and talk to people, exchanging their pool of information and resources with similar people.

“You are only as successful as those you frequently associate with,” Corley writes. Wealthy people make sure to call when a life event happens, network and participate in different kinds of interest groups to further cultivate relationships. At the same time they try to avoid negative over critical people who only derail you from achieving your goals.

Essential Marketing and Small Business Strategies For Doubling Your Profits in 2018

small business marketing strategy

Once a business is developed and established there are additional steps that need to be taken in order for it to grow in the future. Businesses will succeed only if they’re able to generate enough revenue/profit annually. However, a lot of patience and strategy is required for a business to truly flourish amongst all of the competition out there today. Let’s discuss a few specific tactics small business owners can utilize below:

Adopting a Strategic Social Media Strategy

You can boost your business’s bottom line by utilizing powerful social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google+ and more. Social media platforms are incredibly popular around the globe and no one can deny the admiration of them. But it’s important to consider the following points when coming up with a social media marketing strategy:

  • Select a social media platform that has the ability to best represent your services or product(s) (for some businesses the use of video may be important, so it would make sense to get into YouTube marketing and for other businesses Pinterest or Instagram may be a better choice…although many businesses benefit from using more than one social media platform)
  • Analyze what competitors are doing well and seeing major success with. Replicate the models that are working and track your results.
  • Be consistent and always publish valuable content in regards to your business. No one wants sales pitch after sales pith showing up within their social media accounts.
  • Influence your customers by posting the latest news, updates, awards, blog posts, specials, products or services of your business. Encourage sharing, interaction and engagement on every piece of content you publish.

Email Marketing For The Win

Email marketing is crucially important to any business that wants to maintain close relationships and produce life-long customers.  For many businesses, this is the single most important marketing strategy for maintaining a steady and growing revenue stream.  A few solid tips for using email marketing effectively are:

  • Maintain a list of customers according to their common preferences and separate them into certain categories (oftentimes called segmenting your list)
  • Send different emails to each group of customers depending on their interest (each segment should be treated differently).
  • Get good at producing powerful subject lines to encourage high open-rates
  • Highlight the offers in the body of the email to encourage user click-through
  • Keep the body of the email short and simple…Get to the point as if you only had 2 seconds to grab their attention.
  • Avoid spammy style emails, words, language etc. You need these emails to land in the actual inbox and not the spam folder.
  • Don’t be afraid to test different subject lines, email copy, anchor text, links to your website until you find something that converts well.

Additionally, with everyone on their smartphones nowadays, email marketing is more powerful than ever. If you’re looking for a rock solid email autoresponder to use for your business, check out this ConvertKit review here.

Put Consistent Effort into Content Marketing

Content that you put in front of your customers has the potential to increase your profits substantially, and especially if it’s consistently produced. However, it’s absolutely vital that the content you publish is of the highest value and quality. The idea is to get your visitors to your blog or website and influence them to go make a purchase or ask for more information.  A blog can be a great way to do this or individual pages on your website can also do the trick. As long as it’s consistent and you have proper SEO in place, you should be able to generate a healthy amount of organic traffic. There are also many options to hire a freelancer to help with writing if it isn’t your strong suit.

Your Employees Are What Keeps Your Business Going

Your business growth is dependent on your employees to a large extent. Your employees work day in and day out to help push the needle and improve the bottom line. It’s up to the business owner to offer a comfortable work environment so that their employees can be as efficient and satisfied with their jobs as possible. This leads to more productivity and more money in the business’s pocket.

Treating employees with respect, offering incentives and showing gratitude are all qualities that will help with the overall business growth.  Do not underestimate the value your employees hold.  This could mean the difference in doubling your profits in 2018 or barely getting by.

A Few Benefits of Waking Up Early In The Morning (My Personal Experience)

Waking Up Early Benefits

Once you get into the habit of waking up early on a daily basis (I’m talking 6:00 AM or earlier), you begin to understand the power behind it and especially if you have a specific project you’re working on, like a side hustle.

In this post I’ll briefly go over a few benefits of waking up early in the morning that I have personally experienced, which may also help motivate some of you to adopt this positive lifestyle change on your own.

To give you a quick background if you’re new to reading this blog, I currently work a 9-5:30 day job, and also run a handful of side projects.

My day-to-day schedule gets extremely hectic, which is why I take full advantage of my mornings.

You’d be surprised what an extra 1-3 hours each morning can do to improve your life.

If this at all sounds like something you’re interested in, I highly recommend at least trying it for an extended period of time.

Let’s take a closer look below at a few reasons why I encourage waking up early on a constant basis (mainly from my own experience)

Benefits of Waking Up Early In The Morning

1.) Most Productive Hours of The Day:

Benefits of Waking Up Early In The Morning

The mornings for me are by far the most productive hours of the day.  It’s when I’m the most sharp, fresh and committed. It’s also when I get my most important tasks complete. As long as you have a good cup of coffee or tea (which is my preference), you can really have a incredible amount of focus in the early hours. The satisfaction you gain from accomplishing a project that early in the day can really give you some serious momentum and leak positively into other areas of your life.

2.) Great Time To Exercise:

I find the best time to exercise is right when you wake up, and preferably between 5:00-7:00 AM. Not only do you get it out of the way, but it completely sets your day up for success. Letting go of some extra stress or angst through exercise in the morning is a release like no other. Now is it a struggle to motivate myself to get my butt out of bed and workout sometimes? Heck yeah! But the benefits are so large that it becomes routine. No-one said this would be easy 🙂

3.) Quiet Time:

You begin to realize when you wake up before the sun rises, what a quiet and peaceful time of day it is. In fact, this is one of the most fulfilling benefits for me as it can be very meditative in a way. It’s kind of hard to explain unless you experience this for yourself, but it’s wonderful feeling and worth exploring. In an often busy life, sometimes all we need is a little bit more quiet time and the early morning is perfect for this.

4.) Opens Up Your Day More:

All in all, when you have that extra 1,2 maybe even 3 hours in the morning, it totally opens up your day. This leads to less rushing at the end of the day, less “cramming things in” and ultimately less stress. Think if you got your exercise out of the way or an important task completed in the morning, what else you could do with that extra time later in the day. I’m a true believer in adopting good habits and seeing compounding results over time. The idea here is to optimize your time, so you can reap the rewards down the road.

My challenge to you is to try waking up early one day out of the week to start and then progress from there.

Record your overall results in terms of productivity, mood and balance.

If you don’t see any positive benefits from waking up early in the morning, then no problem, at least you tried.

But for those of you who do, I think this could be a complete game-changer.

Have you tried this in the past or maybe are currently doing it?

If so, what were the benefits you saw?

One of The Best Ways To Save Money Quickly- Shockingly Simple Strategy

Saving Money Tips and Tricks

I’ve always been a natural saver rather than a spender, which is why I enjoy sharing tips here and there about personal finance that have helped me tremendously.

The vast majority of people for whatever reason have a hard time saving any money at all each and every month.

This is completely understandable with the relentless advertising we are exposed to on a daily basis, grocery bills, children expenses, rent/mortgage, entertainment and hundreds of other reasons.

However, I want you to consider adopting the strategy below that could open up some extra space in your life.

What Is One of The Best Ways To Save Money Quickly?

For some people this will be very difficult and could potentially take a major commitment.

And for others, this may be something you’re already doing naturally or have tried in the past, which is excellent!

Let’s go over two key elements here…

First I want you to be absolutely grateful for everything you have in your life….family, friends, health, nature, food, shelter, water, bed/blankets, etc.

Best Ways To Save Money Quickly

Be grateful for the simple things in life…Nice walking area in my town.

This immediately puts you in a state of mass abundance…but it’s important that you actually feel the gratitude instead of just saying it or writing it down.

Second, I want you to realize that material items do not make you any happier.

Basically what I’m trying to say is break your addiction to purchasing material items.

When I say material items I’m talking about things like electronics/gadgets, clothes, shoes, accessories, new cars and so much more.

Now of course you need some of these things for everyday life, but too many people over indulge in this area and have way more ‘stuff’ than is actually necessary.

Like 30 pairs of shoes, or the latest iPhone when their older version works perfectly fine, or a brand new car because they don’t want to be seen in an old beater (by the way, I own a 2004 Nissan Altima with over 130K miles on it and I love it….simply because I have zero car payments and it’s saved me so much money already that I can now invest).

The over indulgence above results in unnecessary clutter, very little savings and major financial stress.

So I’m really preaching two points here…

  • Practicing gratitude for what you already have.
  • Limiting material spending quite aggressively (buying things you only really need to survive).

Once you have more of a savings built up (and hopefully are investing any surplus money), you have the option to treat yourself every once in a while.

I’m not saying we should deprive ourselves, but we should realize that material purchases or items do not make us any happier for the most part.

This is one of the best ways to save money quickly and effectively.

Also, it’s important to note that when you start practicing gratitude consistently, you begin to shatter the illusion of constantly needing more.

You realize how fortunate you are to have what you already have and that buying more for the sake of “buying more” holds no value anymore.

You will naturally start living a more minimalist lifestyle, with less chaos, less clutter and more financial freedom.

If this sounds like something you’re willing to try for yourself, do it with full commitment.

You may just be surprised with the results you see down the road…both monetarily and mentally.

The simple life is truly the way to go and this is one of the best ways to save money quickly and almost immediately.

So let me ask, are you already living this type of lifestyle?

If not, are you willing to try?

How To Start a Lifestyle Blog- Simple Steps & Recommendations

how to start a successful lifestyle blog

Although my blog revolves heavily around digital marketing, it also focuses on my experiences, successes and failures in this industry and ultimately the lifestyle that comes with it, which inspired me to write this post.

I get questions all the time based around “How To Start a Lifestyle Blog” or “How Can I Start a Successful Lifestyle Blog” etc…

Now “lifestyle” is a broad subject and could mean many different things to many different people…however, starting any type of lifestyle blog will be very similar in terms of taking the first initial steps and coming up with a game plan.

In my opinion this is one of the best blog types to start no matter what niche you operate in.

The reason being is that there are so many people that are looking for tips, demonstrations, strategies, techniques, motivation and leaders to help them progress in life.

And with a lifestyle blog, this is where you can position yourself as an authority figure, and provide valuable content for your readers to gain knowledge from.

Let’s get a little more specific though.

Initial Steps On How To Start a Lifestyle Blog

1.) Sign Up For Web HostingThe first step is to sign up for web hosting. NOTE: It’s important that you do not go with any free blogging platforms if you are at all serious about starting a lifestyle blog. You need full control of your blog and a reputable web hosting company to back you up.  The service I recommend is HostGator and you can sign up here for an extremely low rate (at the time of writing this it’s $3.95 per month).  It’s a no-brainer.

2.) Choose A Domain Name (you will do this right after signing up with HostGator in step #1…see screenshot below): I always recommend using your full name in your domain name if possible, similar to my blog here…and especially if you’re trying to brand yourself as a leader.  Even just your name as the domain is great too, for example: evanhoeflich.com. If your blog, brand or idea has nothing to do with your birth name, no problem. Just come up with a catchy domain name that is relative to your niche/blog.  You have complete flexibility with your domain name when joining HostGator, so feel free to brainstorm a bit before settling on anything. Here’s the screen you will see when registering your domain name.

3.) Install WordPress: I’ll save you some time here. Please watch this short video on how to install WordPress: How To Install WordPress

4.) Choose An Engaging Theme For Your Blog: This is a more enjoyable step in a way because now that you have most of the initial technical stuff out of the way, you can begin thinking about the style of your blog. Pick a theme that matches the vision of your website. There are numerous to choose from so don’t rush this process. Instead take your time to pick something that is simple, yet attractive to visitors (don’t try to get too fancy or flashy, some of the best blogs have very simple themes).

Once you’re logged into WordPress, in order to pick your theme, on the left navigation menu go to => “Appearance” and then => “Themes”.

See screenshot below:

4.) Install Necessary Plugins: I won’t go into too much detail here about WordPress plugins as this post would end up being way too long, however a few important ones that come to mind are highlighted below.  Please do your own research on this step as well:

  • Yoast (SEO Plugin)
  • Wordfence (Security Plugin)
  • W3 Total Cache (Speed & Performance Plugin)

5.) You’re Ready To Start Blogging: With all the above steps out of the way, you are now ready to start blogging. It’s important that you learn some SEO basics for your blog in order to get recognized in the search engines and generate organic, natural and free traffic. It’s also important that you produce consistent content and adopt a long-term strategy/mindset when it comes to your lifestyle blog. Trust me, you will get much better at writing over-time and it can actually become quite addicting. So get out there and start sharing your message with the world!

A Few Final Recommendations for Starting A Successful Lifestyle Blog

1.) Record & Publish What You’re Doing: People love following someone who provides frequent updates on their journey, on what’s working and on what’s not working. Think of your blog as a journal really, and record anything interesting that you think your readers will benefit from. Don’t be afraid to highlight what you’ve struggled with, what you failed at or what you need to work on as well.  This builds more trust, credibility and transparency with your audience.

2.) Show Real-Life Examples: This goes hand in hand with the point above. Most people respond very well to real-life examples. A good technique to accomplish this is by taking actual lifestyle photos and uploading them to your blog, videos, visual screenshots etc.  These connections that you build with your following is what separates you from the thousands of other lifestyle bloggers out there.

3.) Create Massive Value: Again this correlates with the other two points above. The most successful lifestyle blogs I’ve seen on the Internet are the ones who create the most value for their audience. The main goal of your blog should always be to bring as much value to the table as possible. This means, writing in-depth and demonstrative articles, giving away e-books or video courses for free, starting a private Facebook group, answering all your visitor’s questions via email, responding to comments and so much more (these are just off the top of my head).  If you approach each and every blog post with this mindset, the monetary success is sure to follow.

Hopefully, if you’ve stumbled upon this post, you’re a little bit more clear on how to start a lifestyle blog.

Or maybe you’ve already started one but are looking for more tips.

Either way, I hope at least one of these points help you out in your own journey online.

Remember to always be patient as well as consistent.

Get Off The Sidelines and Into The Game- Action Produces Results

Action Produces Results

The biggest lessons I’ve learned in running an online business and Internet Marketing in general, have NOT come from watching from the sidelines…

But more from jumping head first into the game.

This means getting uncomfortable, making mistakes, taking educated risks and soaking up every bit of knowledge in the process.

A common theme I see is people sitting back, waiting for the perfect training/system, dabbling a bit here and dabbling a bit there, and never fully committing to one single strategy.

When I started my solo ad business, I dove in head first.Get In The Game

It was the only thing on my mind…like I had tunnel vision or something.

The solo ad training I was using was very detailed and in depth (especially when one is just starting out) that I could’ve easily just observed the tutorials and not take any action.

However, I recognized this is what the vast majority of people do, which is why most don’t find any sort of success.

As I saw other aspiring solo ad vendors in our training community quit, I knew I was on the right track by sticking with it.

After a few months of building my foundation, I was fully in the game.

This is also when I saw about 75% of the people that started around the same time as me, just simply drop out.

I couldn’t believe the lack of patience and motivation people had when it came to starting an online business.

I also couldn’t believe how many people went through the entire training without even taking one step of action.

I’ll admit for myself, that there were times of confusion, struggle and failure but not once did I throw in the towel.

In fact, many of these experiences served me very well and taught me valuable lessons.

I guess what I’m trying to sum up here is that you won’t get anywhere if you aren’t willing to take some risk, put in the work and stay the course.

You do not want to be one of the “observers” from the sidelines watching others play the game you should be playing (and succeeding).

Possibly this mindset of mine comes from years of playing competitive sports (I used to hate coming out of games to get a rest).

I was generally always in the game, in the action and completely engaged.

This is how I want you to be when it comes to starting a side hustle, online business or whatever it is you’re doing in your life.

You can’t find success if you aren’t willing to take action and play the game.

So be honest here…

Do you tend to watch from the sidelines?

Or are you fully in the game?

You Know Your Blog Is Gaining Traction When You Start Getting Guest Post Requests

Accepting Guest Posts

The past couple of months, I’ve been noticing an increasing number of people reaching out to me to see if they can get a guest post published on my blog.

If you’re new to this, guest posting is basically a link building technique, where you reach out to other relevant blogs in your general niche to see if you can get an article published on their website (with a link back to your blog within the article).

Guest Post Request

It’s a very powerful strategy for strengthening the overall SEO of your website, and more specifically increasing your search engine rankings as well as organic traffic.

I recommend you check out my blog post “What Is Guest Posting- Powerful Link Building Tips” if you’re unfamiliar with this method or if you’d like to try it out for yourself.

Google heavily favors websites that have a healthy backlink portfolio (meaning a number of natural, quality and authoritative backlinks pointing to your website).

And guest posting is one of the best techniques to achieve this.

Now I know I’ve talked about the power of guest posting on other websites, but why is it also powerful to accept guest posts on your own website as well?

There’s a reason why so many successful bloggers accept guest post submissions on their website…

A few of the main benefits that jump right out at me are:

1.) Consistent Content Generation: Accepting guest posts not only saves you time, but it also provides you with consistent content from other established bloggers. It’s really excellent when you receive a 1,000 word article from someone you’ve connected with and literally all you have to do is hit publish. This is a great way to boost your blog and provide your readers with additional content. It’s important to note that even if you’re getting a ton of guest post submissions, it’s still vital that you continue to publish your own blog posts as well. Think of how your blog got to this position in the first place…by you creating valuable content yourself.  The majority of your articles on your website should be written by you, and then if you’d like, you can supplement that with external posts from other bloggers.

2.) Additional Stream of Revenue: Guest posting can actually turn into a form of revenue for your website. Many people charge for guest posts (sometimes called sponsored posts if someone wants to include a commercial backlink to their website). This is entirely up to you if you want to charge money. If another blogger sends you a post that is a bit more promotional rather than informational, it may be worth it to charge $50-100+ given the content style. This is somehting you will have to decide for yourself depending on your vision and mission of your website. It could be a nice way to create some passive income and an additional revenue stream from your blog.

3.) Connections with Other Bloggers: Last but not least, accepting guest posts is a great way to connect with other bloggers in your niche. Sometimes you can pitch them back and ask if you could have a guest post published on their website to build a quality backlink for yourself. It’s also a great way to both give and receive tips, brainstorm marketing strategies etc. Not all bloggers and blogs are competition, in fact, many will help you get to the next level. Look at guest posting communication as a great way to network with like-minded individuals who share similar goals as you do.

At the time of writing this, I currently don’t have a page dedicated to guest post submissions, however it is something I will most likely be creating within the next few months.

This is a good way to go over your writing guidelines, details, pricing etc…

If you’re not at the stage of accepting guest posts yet, no problem…your main focus then should be getting your articles published on other websites until you build up enough authority to begin accepting content for yourself.

Try to start really moving the needle in your backlinking and content generation efforts.

Once you start, the momentum continues to pick up.

Stay patient and remain consistent!
