My Morning Routine For Success- Starting The Day Off Right

Morning Routine For Success

When I started adopting a consistent morning routine, I really began to notice positive changes in my life.

One of my favorite entrepreneurs and best-selling author Tim Ferris states it perfectly when he says…”If you win the morning, you win the day”.

I couldn’t agree more and have experienced this first hand in my own life.

Not everyone’s morning routine will be exactly the same and that’s okay.

But just by implementing a few healthy, mindful and practical habits into your morning, can make a big difference in how the rest of your day goes.

Today we’ll take a quick look into my morning routine and what sets me up for a productive and successful day.

My Morning Routine

My Morning Routine For Success

Please note that this routine generally comes after a couple of essential morning habits of mine…i.e brushing my teeth, drinking a glass of water etc.

1.) Exercising

The first on my morning routine list is exercise. Exercising in the morning for me is mandatory and helps relieve excess stress, anxiety and just gives me a sense of immediate accomplishment. It preps my brain for the day ahead and helps with concentration, focus and retainability.  Anyone interested in learning the effects of exercise on the brain, I highly recommend checking out the book “Spark: The Revolutionary New Science of Exercise and the Brain” by John J. Ratey. Truly a life-changing read and extremely eye-opening on the positive benefits exercise has in various areas of life. My workouts generally are body weight based- pushups, pull ups, planks, dips etc.

2.) Meditation

I like to meditate every morning for 10-20 minutes after I exercise.  I use a great app called Headspace which guides you through different meditations based on the pack you choose. This really helps throughout the day when different stressors arise and is just an overall cleansing experience. Meditation for me is an incredibly fulfilling practice and something that I never miss a day of. The process of watching your thoughts instead of getting completely overwhelmed or wrapped up in them is incredibly liberating.  With all the apps and helpful content out there today, there is no reason why you can’t get into a consistent flow of meditation. Your mind will thank you for it!

3.) Gratitude

Practicing gratitude is something that can be as simple as writing 3 things down every morning that you’re grateful for. This is what I personally do and it helps set the tone for the rest of the day. It helps me realize that I have so much to be thankful for and eliminates any cravings or desires of wanting more. When you are truly grateful for all that you have, it allows you to live a simpler life with less clutter and confusion. Try to get into the habit of writing down a few things each morning that you are really grateful for…It could be as simple as having a bed to sleep on, hot water in the morning etc…Try to experience the gratitude in the body as well as the mind (don’t just write it down for the sake of getting it done).

4.) Green Tea

I’m not a coffee drinker and instead drink green tea as it really helps with focus and concentration when beginning my day. I normally try to tackle the largest tasks on my list first and sipping a cup of green tea always helps me through that process. It also has less caffeine than coffee so I am less jittery throughout the day.  Green tea also contains an amino acid called L-theanine which helps with stress, concentration and focus. Something that comes in very handy during a busy day.

Now it’s also important that you wake up at a reasonable time to be able to complete your morning routine.

You don’t want to rush through things just to get them done..give yourself enough time.

Having a consistent regiment like this can really pay off for you down the road, physically, mentally and financially.

Again, everyone’s morning will look a bit different but most successful people out there have a set of practices that help them maximize their days, weeks, months and years.

These simple changes can really make a positive impact in your life.

Feel free to experiment with this a bit for yourself and let me know what works best for you!

Get Things Out of Your Head and Onto Paper- Writing Down Goals

Writing Down Your Goals

Sometimes it’s the simple tips, tricks or strategies that make the biggest impact in our lives.

What I’m going to share with you today might seem incredibly basic or common, but it’s important that you do not underestimate its power.

Before I used this technique I was less organized, less motivated and had a harder time following through with anything I wanted to accomplish.

Now that I constantly make this a priority every day, week, month, year etc., my results in both my business and my personal life have improved dramatically.

Now what simple tip am I talking about here? (although you probably already know by reading the title of this post)…

Writing Down Goals!

Yes, I know obvious…

Yes, I know basic…

Yes, I know simplistic…

But you wouldn’t believe how many people do NOT actually write down their goals.

And I’m talking on a daily basis.

You see, writing down goals can be used for anything really…both short-term and long-term…small goals or large goals, it doesn’t matter.

“The simple technique of getting things out of your head and onto paper is extremely powerful and releasing at the same time…”

There’s something about seeing the goal in front of your eyes (on paper), in comparison to roaming free in your mind, that increases the likelihood of you actually completing that task or working towards it.Writing Down Goals

Now I realize I keep saying “on paper” but goals can also be typed into the “Notes” section of your smartphone or computer…placed in a Word Doc etc.

I just find it works best writing down goals in a notebook, on a sticky note or in a journal.

For example, I like to write down both short-term goals as well as long term goals.

The daily goals I need to get done are always jotted down in a journal I have which I refer to regularly.

Once I complete a given task, I simply cross it off the list (this is also a very fulfilling process).

Towards the end of the day when I see multiple tasks scribbled out, it means I had a very productive day.

Again, don’t underestimate this…It can easily compound into days, weeks, months and years,

This one habit/technique is accessible to anyone willing to try it and generates really impressive results for those who stick with it.

Long-term or larger goals should be approached just the same.

You may not look at them as frequently, but just the process of writing them down is half the battle.

In a way this has really helped me organize my direction in life and the objectives that I’d like to accomplish.

Before using this specific technique I was flying blind really, and had no clear vision or motive.

If you’re not already doing this, I’d like to challenge you to try.

You may just be surprised how good it feels to make these goals a bit more tangible by writing them down.

Track your progress as well and see if this indeed helps you in your journey.

I’m not saying this is for everyone, but it is a common trait of many of the most successful people in the world.

So there’s gotta be something going on here!

Do you currently write down your goals?

8 Habits of Successful Millionaires

Habits of Millionaires

Everyone wants to be a millionaire but not all are lucky enough to inherit wealth or win the lottery to become one. Believe it or not, more than eighty percent of millionaires are self-made, according to the renowned millionaire researcher, Thomas J. Stanley. All these wealthy people have certain common habits that have assisted them to come all this way.

“Your habits are the reason why you’re rich or poor,” writes Tom Corley in his book Rich Habits: The Daily Success Habits of Wealthy Individuals. This is because our daily habits both shape and dictate if we’re going to be successful or unsuccessful in life. And the good news is that habits can always be adjusted or changed.

Here are eight rich habits of successful millionaires that you can start implementing as soon as today:

1.) Get Enough Sleep:

Early to bed, early rise, actually makes a man/woman healthy, wealthy and wise. Successful people do not binge on Netflix all night. They ensure to get adequate sleep for a more productive, active and definitely more pleasant day ahead.  People who sleep well tend to have more creative minds than those who are sleep deprived, hence are more likely to succeed.

To make sure you can fall asleep at a reasonable time, get to bed earlier; make your bedroom sleep friendly and environment comfortable enough for sleeping; fix the temperature; cut out any caffeine, alcohol and cigarettes before sleeping and take your evening bath maybe an hour earlier than normal.

2.) Wake up on time

Most millionaires hit their alarm clock as early as six AM. In Corley’s study, about fifty percent of the millionaires woke up about three hours prior to when their actual work day began. Waking up early gives you the confidence of having your life under control.

It is actually a great strategy to deal with unexpected and inescapable daily disruptions such as long meetings, being stuck in traffic or having to pick up your sick child from school. These disruptions make one believe that they don’t have control over their life. But getting up early in the morning to plan/tackle our top priorities that we want to accomplish in the day, helps us direct our life.

3.) Exercise

It is as simple as this: Exercise is not just good for the body but also for the brain. And a healthier brain means a smarter you.  “Seventy-six percent of wealthy people exercise at least thirty minutes every day. The exercises may include anything cardio such as walking, running, jogging, biking or even dancing. etc.” says Corley.

Having a consistent exercise routine calls for commitment, endurance, time and energy, which are quite the same characteristics required to achieve your seven-figure financial goals.

4.) Read books

Millionaires are readers and not the kind of reading which involves entertainment like on Facebook or Twitter but biographies of successful people, personal development, history books etc. The rich would prefer to be educated over entertained. As Corley puts it, “Millionaires spend thirty minutes or more each day to self-educate.” According to his study, about eighty-five percent of the world’s millionaires read two or more books a month. This habit automatically sets you apart from the competition as most people do not read.

5.) Have a Mentor

One common thing in almost all millionaires is that they all had someone strategically mentoring them and teaching them successful habits. In Corley’s study, ninety-three percent of self-made millionaires associate their wealth with having mentors. Finding a true mentor can actually put you on the fast track to success.

6.) Create ‘To-do lists’

Prioritizing goals and tasks and listing them down into smaller action steps is always a winner. Creating to-do lists is a well-known trait of successful and rich people as it prevents you from getting sidetracked. As stated in Corley’s study, “eighty-one percent of the millionaires, who do plan their day, maintain a daily to-do list. Less than one percent of the poor use a daily to-do list.” The key is to consistently cross off tasks at the top and add new ones at the bottom and secondly keep it at the forefront in order to stay focused. Make your to-do list and paste it somewhere you can easily see all the time. You can even put in on the background of your computer or mobile phone as there is no getting away from technology, hence your list.

7.) Have multiple streams of income

Millionaires don’t have a single source of earning. “Millionaires develop multiple streams…sixty-five percent had at least three streams of income that they created prior to making their first million dollars.” Corley writes. E.g. they would invest in a side business, buy shares in a company or save up and invest in real estate.”

8.) Network

Wealthy people do not thrive in isolation. Millionaires are social beings. They have the habit to go out and talk to people, exchanging their pool of information and resources with similar people.

“You are only as successful as those you frequently associate with,” Corley writes. Wealthy people make sure to call when a life event happens, network and participate in different kinds of interest groups to further cultivate relationships. At the same time they try to avoid negative over critical people who only derail you from achieving your goals.

A Few Benefits of Waking Up Early In The Morning (My Personal Experience)

Waking Up Early Benefits

Once you get into the habit of waking up early on a daily basis (I’m talking 6:00 AM or earlier), you begin to understand the power behind it and especially if you have a specific project you’re working on, like a side hustle.

In this post I’ll briefly go over a few benefits of waking up early in the morning that I have personally experienced, which may also help motivate some of you to adopt this positive lifestyle change on your own.

To give you a quick background if you’re new to reading this blog, I currently work a 9-5:30 day job, and also run a handful of side projects.

My day-to-day schedule gets extremely hectic, which is why I take full advantage of my mornings.

You’d be surprised what an extra 1-3 hours each morning can do to improve your life.

If this at all sounds like something you’re interested in, I highly recommend at least trying it for an extended period of time.

Let’s take a closer look below at a few reasons why I encourage waking up early on a constant basis (mainly from my own experience)

Benefits of Waking Up Early In The Morning

1.) Most Productive Hours of The Day:

Benefits of Waking Up Early In The Morning

The mornings for me are by far the most productive hours of the day.  It’s when I’m the most sharp, fresh and committed. It’s also when I get my most important tasks complete. As long as you have a good cup of coffee or tea (which is my preference), you can really have a incredible amount of focus in the early hours. The satisfaction you gain from accomplishing a project that early in the day can really give you some serious momentum and leak positively into other areas of your life.

2.) Great Time To Exercise:

I find the best time to exercise is right when you wake up, and preferably between 5:00-7:00 AM. Not only do you get it out of the way, but it completely sets your day up for success. Letting go of some extra stress or angst through exercise in the morning is a release like no other. Now is it a struggle to motivate myself to get my butt out of bed and workout sometimes? Heck yeah! But the benefits are so large that it becomes routine. No-one said this would be easy 🙂

3.) Quiet Time:

You begin to realize when you wake up before the sun rises, what a quiet and peaceful time of day it is. In fact, this is one of the most fulfilling benefits for me as it can be very meditative in a way. It’s kind of hard to explain unless you experience this for yourself, but it’s wonderful feeling and worth exploring. In an often busy life, sometimes all we need is a little bit more quiet time and the early morning is perfect for this.

4.) Opens Up Your Day More:

All in all, when you have that extra 1,2 maybe even 3 hours in the morning, it totally opens up your day. This leads to less rushing at the end of the day, less “cramming things in” and ultimately less stress. Think if you got your exercise out of the way or an important task completed in the morning, what else you could do with that extra time later in the day. I’m a true believer in adopting good habits and seeing compounding results over time. The idea here is to optimize your time, so you can reap the rewards down the road.

My challenge to you is to try waking up early one day out of the week to start and then progress from there.

Record your overall results in terms of productivity, mood and balance.

If you don’t see any positive benefits from waking up early in the morning, then no problem, at least you tried.

But for those of you who do, I think this could be a complete game-changer.

Have you tried this in the past or maybe are currently doing it?

If so, what were the benefits you saw?

Get Off The Sidelines and Into The Game- Action Produces Results

Action Produces Results

The biggest lessons I’ve learned in running an online business and Internet Marketing in general, have NOT come from watching from the sidelines…

But more from jumping head first into the game.

This means getting uncomfortable, making mistakes, taking educated risks and soaking up every bit of knowledge in the process.

A common theme I see is people sitting back, waiting for the perfect training/system, dabbling a bit here and dabbling a bit there, and never fully committing to one single strategy.

When I started my solo ad business, I dove in head first.Get In The Game

It was the only thing on my mind…like I had tunnel vision or something.

The solo ad training I was using was very detailed and in depth (especially when one is just starting out) that I could’ve easily just observed the tutorials and not take any action.

However, I recognized this is what the vast majority of people do, which is why most don’t find any sort of success.

As I saw other aspiring solo ad vendors in our training community quit, I knew I was on the right track by sticking with it.

After a few months of building my foundation, I was fully in the game.

This is also when I saw about 75% of the people that started around the same time as me, just simply drop out.

I couldn’t believe the lack of patience and motivation people had when it came to starting an online business.

I also couldn’t believe how many people went through the entire training without even taking one step of action.

I’ll admit for myself, that there were times of confusion, struggle and failure but not once did I throw in the towel.

In fact, many of these experiences served me very well and taught me valuable lessons.

I guess what I’m trying to sum up here is that you won’t get anywhere if you aren’t willing to take some risk, put in the work and stay the course.

You do not want to be one of the “observers” from the sidelines watching others play the game you should be playing (and succeeding).

Possibly this mindset of mine comes from years of playing competitive sports (I used to hate coming out of games to get a rest).

I was generally always in the game, in the action and completely engaged.

This is how I want you to be when it comes to starting a side hustle, online business or whatever it is you’re doing in your life.

You can’t find success if you aren’t willing to take action and play the game.

So be honest here…

Do you tend to watch from the sidelines?

Or are you fully in the game?

How Many Of You Dread Monday Mornings? Please Be Honest Here!

Monday Rush Hour - Dreading Monday Mornings

Dreading Monday Mornings?

It’s a Sunday evening at the time of writing this post and this topic for today came into my head as I was in the grocery store (I know, of all places right).

Now I do not like going to the grocery store on weekends for the simple fact that it’s always jam packed and chaotic in there.

What inspired me to write this post was seeing so many people in the grocery store almost frantically shopping, spun out in a way and rushing to get their grocery shopping done before the start of the dreaded work week.

When Sunday rolls around, for so many people it’s not a true day off…

It actually involves doing chores and getting everything ready for another 40-60 hour work week ahead.

Trust me, I know because I still work a day job myself (mainly because I really enjoy what I do).

However, I also know that NOT starting a side-hustle on your own will keep you stuck in this pattern for pretty much your entire life!

Unless you are extremely smart with your money and strive for financial independence (this is also another way out).

Sound scary?

It’s okay to be resistant to another long and stressful work week…and especially Monday mornings…

BUT IT’S NOT OKAY TO NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT AND CONTINUE THIS CYCLE FOR ANOTHER 10, 20 or 30 YEARS!

Dread Monday Mornings

Meaning, working 9-5 Monday-Friday, having very little time for yourself or your family, never having much extra money and spending all of your free time doing unproductive activities such as watching TV, surfing Facebook, scrolling through Instagram etc.

It’s time to start striving for more…It’s time to start creating extra streams of income…It’s time to start living more on your own terms.

Hear me out for a second…

What if you built up enough of a side income from hustling your butt off on weekends and any extra free time during the week, that all of a sudden you didn’t have to work 5 days a week at your day job?

Maybe you’re making enough money that you only have to work 3 days a week…

Maybe you’re making enough where you can quit your job altogether…

Let that sink in for a minute, how would this shake things up in your life?

Even just having an extra day off from work could be life-changing…

This is the mindset I want you to start developing.

The mindset of building assets and creating options for yourself.

There is nothing wrong with working a job, but in the meantime you should be building your legacy as well.

This is the only way to get out of the rat race earlier than most people do and on your own terms.

So when you get that dreaded feeling of the Monday morning blues, instead of suppressing it, start using it to your advantage and as motivation to create more opportunity in your life.

I want you to live differently than 99% of other people.

Start a blog maybe and document your journey, your successes, your failures…similar to what I do here.

People really enjoy this type of content and can learn a lot from the process of seeing someone else’s examples.

So if you absolutely hate the start of a new work week, get anxiety about waking up on Monday morning, and feel no passion for getting to your place of work, remember that you have the power to change this overtime.

Stay patient, work hard and always remain hungry.

Your possibilities are endless.

I wanna hear from you…

Do you hate when Monday morning sneaks up on you after a nice weekend?

Do you spend your extra free time building your dream or do you waste it on useless activities?

Let me know your thoughts!

How To Make Use of Your Time- Optimize Your Life

Making Use Of Your Time

I know how busy life can be sometimes and the feeling of not having any extra time to get things done.

However, we all have more than enough time in our schedules if we want something bad enough.

This message is more geared for the person who is currently working a 9-5 job, has responsibilities at home and feels like they can’t find the extra time to work on their side-hustle.

I am here to tell you that you need to optimize your life in order to create enough space in your schedule to work on your dream.

Anything big that you achieve in life comes with a certain level of sacrifice.

How To Make Use of Your TimeIn order to create, run and manage a successful side-gig, project or business it’s going to take hard freakin work…simple as that.

But the biggest problem I see is that most people just flat out misuse their time.

These are the same people that “say” they want to start a business but 2 years down the road still haven’t taken that first step.

Or the people that instead of putting their nose in the computer, are on the couch watching the latest reality TV show.

Side Rant: Here’s a tip for anyone who is truly serious about making some extra money online…quit watching TV…It does no good for you.

Back to my point…

Most people talk a big game but are too lazy to put in the actual work to make things happen.

The good news is that once you snap out of this unproductive mindset, there is no turning back.

Let’s Give An Example of How To Make Use of Your Time

We will take a look at a very basic example to help paint a better picture of how you can make better use of your time.

Let’s say “John” works a typical 9-5:30 job at an office and has also wants to start a business online.

His current schedule consists of waking up at 7:00AM.

Showering, brushing teeth, getting changed…and walking downstairs for 8:00.

He shovels a quick breakfast down, says goodbye to the family and makes it on the road by 8:30.

He arrives at his job at 9:00 and works all the way until 5:30PM.

Gets home at around 6:00PM and helps his wife with dinner for the family.

Finishes eating/cleaning up around 7:30.

Heads over to the couch to unwind and relax and watches TV until 9:30.

Goes upstairs gets ready for bed and eventually falls asleep around 10-10:30.

And the process repeats all over again the next day.

How to Make Use of Your Time Better

Now I’m not saying there is anything wrong with the above example, however there is much room for improvement…

Especially if you want to do more in your life.

There’s two areas really where John in the example above can find extra time to work on his side-business.

For one, he could train himself to start waking up at 5:30 in the morning, that way he can dedicate an extra hour or so to his business.

I personally wake up very early and it’s when I get my best work done.

And for all the people saying, “that’s insanity, I would never wake up that early“….well my answer to that is that your side-hustle and creating more options in your life isn’t all that important to you then.

The ones who truly want it, will do anything in their power to get it….And if that means waking up before the sun rises, it’s a no-brainer.

The second area where John can improve/attack his side work is at night after he’s spent some time with his family and after dinner.

From 7:30 to 11:30PM should NOT be spent watching TV, surfing YouTube or scrolling through Facebook…

But instead should be time spent hustling, working his butt off, grinding at his business until his wife yells at him to come into bed.

It takes a person with serious hustle, grit, determination and patience to pull off this type of schedule day in and day out.

And is actually what so many of today’s successful entrepreneurs did before they really made it on their own.

Again it comes down to hard work and out hustling all the average people out there that are content with watching 2-3 hours of TV every night.

Work hard every day, stay patient and as as I always say…be in this for the long-term.

Lasting results take time to produce and let me assure you that there will be many obstacles along the way.

However, once you start making better use of your time, you will begin to feel and see the progress.

Make every minute count and work your tail off to create the life you want.

We only have so much time in our everyday lives, so make sure you are using it wisely.

Hopefully, if you’re reading this that you already make sure to carve out designated time in your schedule to work on your business…

If you don’t currently do this, I hope this post will encourage you to drop any excuses and get to work!

So let me ask…How is your time managed?

Are there any areas for improvement?

Overcoming Adversity In Business – It’s All A Part of The Game

Challenges In Business

Setbacks or adversity in business are actually more common than you might think.

And especially for even the most successful business owners.

The problem is the majority of people expect their business to thrive and flourish without any sort of hiccups or hurdles along the way.

This type of mindset is almost always destined for failure because as soon as adversity does come up (because trust me, it will), many people panic and get paralyzed by fear.

Often times this ends up resulting in people giving up completely because they cannot handle the waves of the storm.

Adversity is a normal cycle in business and in life…and the ones who actually use it to their advantage are the ones who see tremendous progress.

Overcoming Adversity In Business The Right Way

Overcoming adversity in business will not only make you a better business owner, but it will teach you a lot about yourself on a personal level.

It will reveal your inner strength that you may have not known was even there to begin with.

When a challenge arises, you should always embrace it instead of resist it.

Immediately think of what this particular situation is teaching you.

Realize that with every obstacle comes a great life lesson.

And ride the wave instead of getting pummeled by it.Overcoming Adversity In Business

Sometimes our biggest successes come very shortly after overcoming an extremely challenging situation or failure of some sort.

And this is where the real growth and wisdom starts.

Once you shift your mindset to expect adversity to knock at your door at any given moment, you have really turned the corner and will be prepared with whatever is thrown your way.

There’s been times where I’ve personally wanted to “throw in the towel” and just take the easy way out when I was faced with adversity.

However, I had too much pride in what I did to give everything up for good (I am darn stubborn too).

And what I began to realize is that challenging situations or circumstances can sometimes be the very best thing for your business and ultimately your life.

It can force you to think a different way, or try a new strategy or kick your butt into overdrive to make things happen.

Whatever the case may be, it’s time to start looking at adversity as your teacher and not a monster.

This shift alone could make all the difference in the world for you.

Running a business and dealing with the unpredictability of it is not easy by any means.

But if it were, everyone would be doing it.

The key takeaway here is that the successful people are willing to do what other people will not.

And that’s stick it out through hard times.

Overcoming adversity in business is all a part of the game.

And the ones who win this game, are the ones who keep picking themselves up off the floor…gaining more strength each and every time.

Do you currently run a business?

If so, how have you dealt with overcoming adversity?

How To Live A Simpler Life – More Options, Less Stress & Pure Freedom

Ways To Live A Simple Life

If you’re wondering how to live a simpler life, you are already on the right track to less stress and more flexibility.

I was inspired to write this post based on some of the feedback I got on one of my more recent blog articles here, Begin Living A Minimalist Lifestyle & ChHow To Live A Simpler Lifeange Your World.

Although this isn’t groundbreaking information (pretty common sense actually), it’s amazing how many people live well beyond their means and create a life full of tension, over consumption and heaviness.

Many people adopt this type of lifestyle because of all the advertising that is being shoved down our throats every single day…Buy me, buy me, buy me!

However, I want to give you a bit of an edge and a few tips on how to live a simpler life, which will ultimately lead to more happiness and freedom.

Let’s dive right in.

How To Live A Simpler Life- Quick Tips

1.) Practice Gratitude:

The starting point to living a simpler and more fulfilled life is to engage in the practice of gratitude.  This immediately makes you rich in body, mind and spirit.  When you start really feeling grateful for everything that you have in your life, you realize that you do not need to add much more to it.  This also leaks positively into other areas of your life and should be a daily practice. Challenge: Every morning or every night, write down three things you are grateful for in a notebook or journal.  It can literally be anything…don’t limit yourself, big or small.  But the important thing is to really feel it with your entire being while writing it down.  Take a minute to really settle into that feeling.  This creates an energy like no other and provides great healing for an uneasy mind.  You realize how much abundance in your life there actually is.

2.) Live Below Your Means:

Basically this means not biting off more than you can chew, or not buying things you can’t afford essentially. This is easier said than done for most people but can make all the difference in the world and not just financially speaking.  Not only are you saving money but you are also not adding anymore unnecessary clutter to your life.  I’m sure you’ve heard the saying “less is more“…Well when it comes to items, or objects or things…this is absolutely true.  Buy less, save more, get rid of clutter and create more options in your life.

3.) Get Used To NOT Comparing Yourself

One of worst things you can do when trying to live a simpler life is to compare yourself to other people.  The reason being, is that most people overindulge, are flat out broke and buy everything in sight.  However, they want you to think they have it all together with loads of money in the bank, a nice house, car etc.  Most of the time, the complete opposite is true (there’s been books written about this in the personal finance space).  Be happy you are on the path to a life with less stuff and more opportunity to do what you want and when you want to.  Comparing yourself to others is completely irrelevant to your journey and will keep you stuck where you are.  Break free and live your own life.

Now these are only three extremely basic, yet powerful tips to push you in the right direction.

Try them out for yourself and see what you think, and feel free to add any additional techniques in the comments section below.

If you enjoyed this post, you may want to take a look at this here as well.

This would be a good second phase once you learn how to live a simpler life.

Now let’s create more space, more flexibility and more clarity in your life starting today.

Let me ask…

How To Kick Self-Doubt In The Teeth! 3 Simple Tips

Getting Over Self-Doubt

Naturally as human beings we all have what is called self-doubt from time to time.

We hear the voice in our heads chime in telling us that can’t do something, or that we have no business trying, or that we’re better off to staying in our comfort zone.

The good news here is that this is all BULL SH*T!

Self-doubt is completely artificial and is actually something that can be shattered quite easily.

I also believe this is where reading the right books comes in handy.

If you’re not into reading, you need to force yourself to start.

It is truly life changing when you read the right material.

How To Break Free From Self-Doubt…

Self-doubt is something that can be truly paralyzing.

It can prevent you from ever trying new things, going after your goals and producing serious results.

Here are a few quick tips to break this illusion…

1.) Realize (like in the sentence above) that self-doubt is simply just an illusion.

2.) Do things intentionally that are directly correlated to your self-doubt.  For example, maybe you have a self-defeating thought that says “I can’t create a blog, I barely have enough time to work my full-time job and take care of my family“…

Your response would be to create your blog that same exact day, sign up for a domain name and hosting and spring free from the grips that self-doubt holds over you.

Actually this reminds me, if any of you are in this situation where you’re interested in starting a blog but work full time, you may want to check this out.

3.) Turn self-doubt into POWER! Look at self-doubt as a necessary emotion to get you to your end goal even faster.  Without contrast in life, there would be no success stories.  We need this negative energy from time to time to catapult us to the next level of commitment. Every time self-doubt comes up in the future, look at it as a sign to get things going.

Now I want to recommend a book, which has really helped me completely shift my mindset from loser to winner.Self-Doubt

It’s given me the mental toughness that the elite athletes, entrepreneurs and business professionals use to completely stand out from the crowd.

It’s truly a life-changing read and will kick you into another mode you never thought possible.

The book I’m talking about (which I’ve mentioned before on my blog) is called “Relentless” by Tim S. Grover.

Tim Grover has trained some of the most successful NBA players including Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wayde and many others.

He explains what it takes to reach the highest level of success in any part of your life.

Truly worth the read if you’re interested and may be just what you need to kick self-doubt to the curb.

What are some inspiring books you have read regarding mindset, personal development or any other similar topic?
